Batteries (EV, light transport, industrial): DPP becomes mandatory on 18 February 2027, under the Batteries Regulation, a hard legal date. Tires: covered separately under ESPR, with a Delegated Act expected Q3 to Q4 2027.

What this means
The clock is already running
Between now and February 2027 you need a Unique Registration Identifier through the DPP Registry, a data carrier on the product, and a plan for who holds the underlying data. Registry submissions fail as a whole batch if even one record is invalid.
