Construction

Construction covers more than one regulatory pathway. Worth being precise about which part of your product line this applies to.

Materials, confirmed Q2 2027 PPE, pending verification

What's confirmed

Materials and PPE run on different legal bases

Construction materials fall under the Construction Products Regulation (CPR), with a DPP-related Delegated Act expected Q2 2027. Construction PPE runs on a separate legal basis, the PPE Regulation, not CPR. We're still confirming the current DPP timeline for PPE specifically, and we'd rather leave that section blank than guess.

Timeline

Materials, Q2 2027

PPE timeline not plotted, pending verification.

What this means

Materials manufacturers have real, not distant, runway

Construction materials tend to move through longer supply chains before reaching a finished structure, so where the data lives and who's responsible for keeping it current matters more here than in most sectors. For PPE, hold off on firm planning until the regulatory basis is confirmed.

Why WaveOn

Data that survives supply chain handoffs

Construction materials often get specified, procured, and installed by parties other than the original manufacturer, which makes a durable, physically attached data carrier more important here than in direct-to-consumer categories.
