There is currently no confirmed ESPR Delegated Act or DPP mandate date for outdoor, cycling, surf, snow, or travel gear. This category isn't among the six confirmed ESPR priority sectors. Every other sector on this site started exactly here before eventually getting a scheduled date.
What this means
Nothing to comply with today
Worth separating "DPP compliance" from "connected product infrastructure" here more than anywhere else on this site. Brands in this space have been putting NFC chips on gear for product support and engagement long before DPP was a consideration, and that infrastructure is the same rail DPP would eventually ride on.
